Amazon Renews ‘Transparent’ for a Second Season

More Transparent is coming to Amazon. Deadline reports today that the streaming network has already renewed the Jill Soloway-created series starring Jeffrey Tambor for a second season to premiere sometime next year. Transparent has broken multiple records over at Amazon already, coming in #1 on Prime Instant Video in just a week after its 10-episode debut season premiere and also ranking as the most binge-watched series currently available on Prime Instant Video. “We are absolutely thrilled that the response to Transparent has been so positive,” said Amazon Studios VP Roy Price in a statement. “Our goal is to create series that customers love, so it’s great to hear that Transparent has not only risen to the no. 1 series on Prime Instant Video, but that it’s deemed ‘binge worthy’ as well. Given all this great feedback, it only makes sense to bring the Pfeffermans back next year in season two.”
