The Wrap reports Javier Bardem is in talks to play the villain in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. No, Bardem is not playing that way-too-scary, in-the-dark drop that comes right at the start of the ride for no reason, considering Pirates of the Caribbean is mostly a chill sea party and not a roller coaster. Bardem would play Captain Brand, a ghost who wants to use a magical trident to exact revenge on Jack Sparrow. It really is a perfect fit, as tridents are often called the “captive bolt pistols of the sea.”
