Blues icon B.B. King has canceled the remaining stops on his tour after falling ill during a performance at Chicago’s House of Blues on Friday night. According to his website, the 89-year-old was diagnosed with dehydration and exhaustion. This isn’t the first time King’s health has interfered with a performance: Back in April, his reps issued an apology for an erratic performance, saying, “The combination of the rigors of the very long drive and high blood sugar due to his medication error resulted in a performance that did not match Mr. King’s usual standard of excellence” (he suffers from type 2 diabetes). King had eight stops left on his tour, including his eponymous B.B. King Blues Club and Grill in New York.
