Jeff Daniels Might Rejoin Aaron Sorkin in That Steve Jobs Biopic

Aaron Sorkin doesn’t want to say good-bye to Jeff Daniels just yet. According to The Wrap, the soon-to-be-former Newsroom star is currently being eyed for a role in Sorkin’s forthcoming Steve Jobs biopic. Daniels wouldn’t be playing Jobs; that role’s been taken by Leonardo DiCaprio Christian Bale Michael Fassbender. Instead, he’d be playing former Apple CEO John Sculley, the executive Jobs lured away from Pepsi with the immortal line, “Do you want to sell sugar water for the rest of your life, or do you want to change the world?” If you think that sounds like a funny moment to put in a movie, too bad — as that interaction did not take place at an Apple product launch, it will not be included in Jobs.
