Jennifer Lawrence and her Hunger Games compatriots teamed up with the Ebola Survival Fund to produce an eye-opening video about the virus’s devastating effects. The clip features Jeffrey Wright, Josh Hutcherson, Mahershala Ali, Liam Hemsworth, and Julianne Moore alongside J.Law and is packed with medical, fatality, and personnel statistics. The actors say their goal is to raise awareness about the worldwide crisis, and also to temper fears on the home front by underlining that available resources differ vastly in both quality and quantity. ESF wants to “support a coalition of community-based organizations working in Liberia and Sierra Leone in order to complement the efforts of the larger-scale programs being implemented by international organizations.” The org’s star-studded call-to-action video has a dire message, but Lawrence lightens the mood right at the end in true Katniss form.
