Sony Would Really, Really Appreciate It If the Media Stopped Reporting on the Hack

The damage from the Sony hack continues unabated as a seventh batch of information — mostly related to the corporation's streaming site Crackle — has been released. "We are preparing for you a Christmas gift," the hackers, known as Guardians of Peace, announced. "The gift will be larger quantities of data. And it will be more interesting. The gift will surely give you much more pleasure, and put Sony Pictures into the worst state." Meanwhile, Sony is trying to counter by sending strongly worded letters to various media organizations. David Boies, a lawyer for Sony, called the documents "stolen information" and wrote that Sony "does not consent to your possession, review, copying, dissemination, publication, uploading, downloading or making any use." Good luck with that.
