Eva Longoria is set to star in her own NBC comedy. According to Deadline, the network has given a 13-episode order to a single-cam comedy based on an idea by Longoria called Telenovela in which she will star as “an ambitious telenovela star — a character created for her — who struggles to stay on top in a world where the drama on-camera is nothing compared to the drama off-camera.” Cougar Town’s Chrissy Pietrosh and Jessica Goldstein will serve as co-executive producers. The show is slated to premiere during the 2015-2016 TV season.
