J.K. Rowling Responds to Rupert Murdoch Tweets About How All Muslims Are ‘Responsible’ for Attacks

In response to the Charlie Hebdo massacre, media magnate Rupert Murdoch shared his thoughts on how followers of Islam might stop similar atrocities. On Friday, he tweeted: “Maybe most Moslems peaceful, but until they recognize and destroy their growing jihadist cancer they must be held responsible.” Sunday, J.K. Rowling bravely responded that, since she was born a Christian, she would take responsibility for what Murdoch himself has brought on the world.

While it’s no surprise to hear such sweeping statements from the head of News Corp., Rowling’s tweets exposed some of the more obvious problems with his idea:
