Amazon announced today that it has signed a deal with Woody Allen to create a half-hour streaming series for Amazon Prime, which it’s billing as Allen’s “first television series ever.” (Prime isn’t “television,” exactly, and Allen got his start writing for TV in the ‘50s, but we see its point.) There’s no title, cast, or concept for the show yet, but Amazon says the project will premiere sometime in 2016. “I don’t know how I got into this,” Allen said in a statement. “I have no ideas and I’m not sure where to begin.”
