Conan O’Brien Took His Show to Cuba

Over the long Presidents’ Day weekend, Conan O’Brien took advantage of the United States’ newly friendly relations with Cuba and taped an episode of his show in Havana. While several news anchors have reported from Cuba in recent weeks, O’Brien is the first late-night host to film there since the U.S. embargo went into effect in 1962. “I just spent the last four days shooting my show all around the city of Havana. I made countless friends and had one of the best experiences of my life,” he wrote on Facebook on Monday. “Many laughs, but that could also be the rum.” The episode, which is meant to show what a day in Cuban life is like, airs March 4.
