Everyone’s stashed gold is on Julianne Moore finally bagging an Oscar for her moving performance in Still Alice. And it’s about time, too — Vulture’s Bilge Ebiri believes Moore should’ve won the strapping statue on eight previous occasions. So at Friday’s screening of Legendary Pictures' Seventh Son, in which Moore plays a sexy evil witch, we asked which role should’ve been awarded by the Academy. After gushing about Bilge’s acclaim (“That’s so nice! Are some of my relatives on the staff? This is like a New York Magazine Oscar!”), she admitted her favorite character would be Connecticut housewife Cathy Whitaker. “Far From Heaven is something that’s very special to me, because it was written for me,” she said. “And I was pregnant with my daughter at the time, so I had a lot of good things happening all at once. So, in that way, it’s particularly memorable.”
