The Stevie Wonder tribute “Songs in the Key of Life,” which featured a slew of famous musicians performing Wonder’s most famous songs at L.A.’s Nokia Theatre, aired tonight on CBS. Beyoncé kicked things off with a virtuosic medley of covers. She started with “Fingertips” and was then joined by Ed Sheeran for “Master Blaster (Jammin’)” and Gary Clark Jr. for “Higher Ground.” Beyoncé was outstanding (what were you expecting?), she and Sheeran were almost uncannily adorable together, and Clark ripped out some impressive solo work. Enjoy (and picture retro Wonder in the process).
