According to ScreenDaily, Werner Herzog’s latest project will be a volcano thriller called Salt and Fire, starring German actress Veronica Ferres as a scientist trying to stop a cataclysmic eruption in South America. The project will shoot in the characteristically surreal Bolivian Salt Flats, an area with no active volcanoes, which means that old Rogert Ebert prophecy will be averted for at least one more day.
