Vin Diesel is the kind of action hero who is not afraid of getting vulnerable. At an advanced screening of Furious 7 in Los Angeles, Diesel got choked up talking about his friend the late actor Paul Waker. “This was a labor of love. It was in some ways the hardest movie I ever had to do, because the relationships that you see on film are so real,” said Diesel. “When the tragedy happened, I lost my best friend. I lost my brother. Tonight … ” This is when he got choked up, and the crowd cheered him on. “What can I say, guys? Thanks for being my family. Thanks for always taking care of us. Thanks for believing in us.” Vin Diesel: still the best guy to get drunk with and sing a forlorn Sam Smith song at 3 a.m.
