After her show at Coachella this weekend, Florence Welch revealed via Facebook on Tuesday that she broke her foot when she leaped off the stage. It’s unclear how bad the break is, but she gave fans a general idea by writing that it’s essentially bad enough that Florence and the Machine’s performances will have to be “stripped back” — but it’s not bad enough to warrant canceled shows (tour dates here). “This album was so much about making something from what was broken, so lets see what we can do with this,” she wrote in reference to the band’s forthcoming album, How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful, which comes out at the beginning of June. What a champ.
