Kanye West settled the civil suit filed by the paparazzo he allegedly attacked at LAX in 2013, according to People. Daniel Ramos and West were photographed shaking hands (and maybe hate-smiling at each other) Tuesday, after the rapper reportedly apologized in person for his actions. The details of the settlement won’t be released, so it’s unclear if West shelled out any money. Ramos’s lawyer, Gloria Allred, told People that she’s proud of her client because the case was important for him and other celeb photographers. “We believe that this case sent an important message,” she said. “Celebrities are not above the law, and they have no right to physically attack someone simply because they were asked a question.” The AP notes that Yeezy is still on probation.
