Meet comedy’s newest big screen duo: Charlie Day and Ice Cube. According to Deadline, Mr. Day and Mr. Cube are currently in talks with New Line Cinema to costar in Fist Fight, a comedy written by Van Robichaux and Evan Susser and co-produced by Shawn Levy, Billy Rosenberg and Max Greenfield. The movie is described as a grown-up version of 1987’s Three O’Clock High, centering on Day as “a mild-mannered English teacher who is put to the test when one of his colleagues (Ice Cube) who thinks he is trying to get him fired challenges him to a fist fight after school.” Day next stars in the Vacation reboot starring Ed Helms, while Cube is hoping to make a fourth Friday film soon called Last Friday.
