How long has it been since we've had a Smurf movie? Apparently too long, because Sony took some time today to let the world know that its Smurf reboot is getting real, revealing a title, a cast of some pretty incredible people, a synopsis, and a release date. Entertainment Weekly reports that the movie, dubbed Get Smurfy (because why the Smurf not?), plans to follow Smurfette and her bro-Smurfs as they Smurf-quest for a legend-Smurf-y Smurf village. "The continued popularity of the Smurfs is unmistakable," director Kelly Asbury said in a statement. "This new outing will return them to the fully-animated world that launched them." Demi Lovato will play Her Badassery, Smurfette, and Rainn Wilson is set to Smurf things up as the naughty Gargamel; they join Mandy Patinkin, who was already inked to play Papa Smurf. You'll be able to Get Smurfy on March 31, 2017.
