Jerry Seinfeld Gave Hugh Jackman the Bright Idea to Hang Up His Wolverine Claws

Jerry Seinfeld has been on a tear as of late regarding the college-age p.c. police, but this may be his most controversial move yet: He apparently sweet-talked Hugh Jackman into hanging up his claws as X-Man Wolverine. “I’m really good friends with Jerry Seinfeld … and he was talking about why he finished [Seinfeld] and how it was riding high, and he said he just always had this feeling or belief that you never know when either your energy or the audience’s energy is going to dip over and people are like, ‘Please! Go!’” Jackman said on Live! With Kelly and Michael. “I’ve been doing it for 17 years [Ed. note: !!!] … and all of a sudden, as he was talking to me, I went, ‘This is it.’” Seinfeld didn’t also tell him (but should’ve), “What’s the deal with Wolverine, anyway? Is he a wolf? Is he Ben Vereen?”
