The Critics’ Choice Television Awards looked like a fun and weird time: There was Cat Deeley emceeing the festivities, Judy Greer ordering room-service pizza for her table, and Mom actress Allison Janney punching James Corden in the face with her lips (more highlights here). Best of all, though, was T.J. Miller, who gave a master class in the best way to wing an acceptance speech. “I thought I was gonna lose, so I ate a lot,” he said. “Yeah, I didn’t write a fuckin’ speech.” If you’re ever in this situation, it’s okay, do like Miller: Eat a lot and make eye contact with Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
