When introducing Dwayne Johnson during a taping of Spike TV’s Guys’ Choice Awards Saturday night, Clint Eastwood compared the Rock to other former athletes who became actors, like “Jim Brown and Caitlyn Somebody.” Hollywood Life reports that the joke was met with “groans” from the audience. Spike TV said that viewers will not have to suffer Clint’s indignities when the episode airs June 18: “We will remove the [Caitlyn Jenner] reference in the version that will air.” Perhaps Clint will find his jokes land better when told to empty chairs.
