Nichelle Nichols, the actress best known for her portrayal of Lieutenant Uhura in the Star Trek movies and TV series, suffered a mild stroke this week at her L.A. home, according to her Facebook page. The 82-year-old actress was undergoing tests Thursday to check the severity of the stroke: "Nichols has had both a CAT scan and an MRI today," one of her reps wrote. "The CAT scan came back negative and we are awaiting the results from the MRI. Currently she is awake, eating, in good spirits and able to have full conversations. Her right side has shown minor signs [of] mobility loss but she is not showing any signs of paralyses." Get well soon!
