Maggie took Liza in when she lost her home in New Jersey and watched as Liza lived her life as a 26 year old, supporting her as she navigated the new job, the new guy, and the new friends. Maggie had troubles of her own, however, as her career seemed to be on the decline, but Liza's young and socially connected friends came to her aid. One of those friends, the fiery publicist Lauren, took a particular liking to Maggie. Could there be a second cross-generational romance brewing on Younger?

She's dedicated all her time and energy to her job, but now regrets being in her 40s and single. She clearly has a thing for her boss, Charles — but has he been eyeing her assistant, Liza? This season, Diana was certainly unkind to Liza more often than not, but she did show compassion when Liza was in financial trouble by coming to her rescue. That, however, didn't stop her from trying to shut down Liza at every attempt she made to get ahead at work. Will Liza get anywhere professionally while working for "Trout Pout"? What devastation would Diana wreak if she ever found out Liza's secret? And really, is there something going on between Charles and Liza? Only time and Younger season 2 will tell!
