Ant-Man Works Almost Too Well As a ’50s Horror B-Movie

There was a time not so long ago when movies — especially horror movies — had hype men: actors who would step forward as themselves to get you amped up for the film you were about to see. Unquestionably, the greatest of these individuals was Vincent Price, whose nervous tones could make you preemptively anxious about whatever haunting flick you were about to enjoy.

We channel that spirit in our latest Vulture Remix: a trailer for the most astounding and terrifying monster movie of 1955, Ant-Man. Watch below as we reframe the upcoming Marvel blockbuster as a different kind of ant-themed picture, one heavy on cobbled-together ant-monsters and concerned doctors warning Paul Rudd about his shrinking habits.

Be sure to pull into our digital drive-in on Mondays for more Vulture Remixes, and check out last week’s reimagining of Magic Mike XXL as a 70s porno. Vincent Price would want you to.
