Back in May it was reported that Harry Shearer was leaving his longtime post at The Simpsons due to a “contract dispute,” but – surprise! – he’s coming back after all. Fox confirmed today that Shearer and the other main five Simpsons voice stars Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith, and Hank Azaria are all returning for the recently renewed 27th and 28th seasons. Shearer reportedly signed the same four-season contract as his cast mates, which are estimated at about $300,000 per episode.
