Actor Steven Michael Quezada, better known as DEA Agent Steven Gomez from Breaking Bad, is following in the footsteps of many celebrities before him, when he announced his candidacy for the office of County Commissioner of Albuquerque for 2016. He’s hoping to jump-start the Democratic party in New Mexico, which lost the governorship and the House in 2014. “I think I bring a new face to the Democratic Party,” Quezada, a member of the school board, told the AP. “We need to reach out to our young people — the young Chicanos, the young Latinos — and get them involved in this process and let them know this is important.” As part of his campaign platform, he will no doubt also tell kids not to cook meth in an RV and become drug kingpins.
