When Colin Farrell was a kid, he wanted to be an astronaut. But astronauts don’t even go to the moon anymore. So instead, he’ll be the next-best thing: a wizard! THR reports that Farrell has joined the cast of the upcoming Harry Potter spinoff series Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, alongside Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, and Ezra Miller. Farrell will play a wizard whom Redmayne’s Newt Scamander meets in New York City and presumably asks about magical beasts, and where to find them. Here’s hoping there will be no Weasleys in the film, or Farrell will claim he’s their father.
