Hillary Clinton and Peter Florrick Will Fight for the Democratic Presidential Nomination on The Good Wife

The Good Wife is no stranger to utilizing “from headline to script” political plotlines, but for the show’s upcoming seventh season, it’ll be paralleling them in real time. Speaking with TVLine, executive producer Robert King confirmed that not only will Peter Florrick officially be launching his presidential bid for the Democratic Party, his primary opponent will be none other than a fictionalized version of Hillary Clinton. “If Peter runs, he is running against Hillary,” he said, adding that when “the Iowa Caucus happens [on February 1], it’s going to happen in our show. We’re trying to parallel what’s happening on our show with what’s happening in reality.” No word yet if Joe Biden or any of the ragtag gang of Republicans will also be written in.
