One Direction’s New Album Is Out in November; Hear the Maddeningly Anthemic Single ‘Infinity’

One Direction have set the date for their last album before they go on an extended hiatus: The boys have just announced that Made in the A.M., their fifth album, will bow on November 13 — the same Friday the 13th Justin Bieber plans to release his new album, too. To celebrate, 1D have also released a new song called “Infinity” that’s so anthemic it screams Ryan Tedder (only he didn’t write it). But it also sounds nothing like the “sexually charged” music you’d expect those four to cook up during prime baby-making hours, which can only mean one thing: A.M. obviously stands for after Malik, as every Directioner will gladly tell you. It’s true — this is 1D’s first album post-Zayn, so hey, why not run with it? Expect Zayn’s official solo debut in three … two … one …
