Judd Apatow to Direct and Produce an HBO Pilot Starring Pete Holmes

Judd Apatow and Pete Holmes are teaming up for a new comedy pilot. According to The Hollywood Reporter, HBO has given a pilot order to a single-camera comedy called Crashing starring Pete Holmes with Apatow on board as director and producer. Described as a semi-autobiographical comedy, Crashing centers on Holmes as “a sweet, wholesome comedian who stays on the couches of his New York’s finest comedians after his wife leaves him.” Production on the pilot starts in November, and Holmes will co-executive produce alongside Apatow.
