Two months after dropping their reverb-steeped album, Depression Cherry, dream-pop duo Beach House released a surprise, nine-track LP called Thank Your Lucky Stars Friday. Whereas the former album has a vast sound, as if recorded in an old cathedral of stained-glass windows, the new-new album is more subdued, somehow smaller, a new direction for the band. They performed “One Thing” on The Late Show Friday, with Stephen Colbert’s camera crew adding all the apt dissolves and trippy effects for the broadcast. You can watch the performance below.
