Jake Johnson and Max Winkler are co-producing a new comedy at Fox. Deadline reports that the network has put into development a single-cam comedy called House Sitter produced by Johnson and Winkler and co-written by Matt Bass and Teddy Bressman. The show centers on a man named Beans, “a house sitter who lives life according to his own set of rules; he turns your day-to-day existence into his vacation, your mundane into his adventure, and your bathrobe into his… bathrobe.” The project is based on Johnson’s real-life friend/actor/house sitter Brian Farrell, who will serve as a consultant on the show. Bass and Bressman – who previously worked as assistants for Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg – are also writing an upcoming Rogen/Goldberg-produced film called The Politician, which is described as “a new supernatural twist on the buddy cop comedy.”
