Friday on The View, Raven-Symoné stirred up controversy by saying she wouldn’t hire someone with a “ghetto” name. The former television psychic’s exact words were:

Just to bring it back, can we take back “racist” and say “discriminatory,” because I think that’s a better word. And I am very discriminatory against words like the ones that they were saying in those names. I’m not about to hire you if your name is Watermelondrea. It’s just not going to happen. I’m not going to hire you.

Well, as it turns out, there’s an actual Watermelondrea, portrayed by Tré Melvin, on YouTube.

When she learned about Raven-Symoné’s comments, she was … less than enthused.
