Sean Combs to Produce an ABC Comedy About His Former Assistant

Rapper, producer, and actor Sean Combs wants to turn his former assistant’s life into a new ABC comedy. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network has given a script commitment to a single-cam comedy called The Hustle based on Combs’s former assistant Sarah Snedeker, “a small-town girl who lands a job working as an assistant to a street-educated billionaire business mogul where she is instantly thrown into a foreign world of extravagance, debauchery and adventure.” Jeremy Garelick (The Wedding Ringer) will executive produce and co-write the script with Stacey Harman (The Goldbergs). Should The Hustle receive a series order, it will make the first scripted TV series from Combs; he also has an animated comedy in development at FX described as “South Park set in inner city Detroit.”
