Bye-bye, Beats Music. Half of the company co-founded by Dr. Dre and long-time label exec Jimmy Iovine, and purchased by Apple back in 2014 for $3 billion, is saying farewell on November 20. The other half, Beats Electronics, which produces headphones and speakers, will live on. All subscriptions to the music streaming service will be cancelled, but users can transfer their preferences over to Apple Music, which currently has over 6.5 million subscribers. This week, Apple Music became available for Android users, making Beats Music redundant.
