Tonight’s Conan marked the first time a Stateside late-night host broadcast a remote episode from Armenia. It also marked the first time a Stateside late-night host ate Armenian Viagra, starred in an Armenian soap opera, went to the Festival of Bad Ideas, and yelled “potato!” in a marketplace, among other things, as part of a remote episode from Armenia. Much like his Cuba project, “Conan in Armenia” — which featured his personal assistant, Sona — resulted in diplomacy in the form of laughs. Here’s a taste:
