Eagles of Death Metal Documentary Pulled From Film Festival Following Paris Attacks

Redemption of the Devil, a documentary that follows Eagles of Death Metal frontman Jesse Hughes, will not screen at the International Documentary Film Festival in Amsterdam, the BBC reports. The band’s members were performing at Paris’s Bataclan Concert Hall last Friday when 89 people were killed. Though the performers escaped, several members of their crew and record company did not survive. The documentary, from Alex Hoffman, was pulled from the festival because the timing felt inappropriate, according to the BBC. The band released a statement earlier this week, in which they suspended their tour indefinitely. Homme, who was not performing with the band in Paris as he typically does not tour with them, has set up a fund through his Sweet Stuff foundation to support victims and their families.
