Here’s How Today’s Late Night Shows Stack Up in the Ratings

It’s been two months since Stephen Colbert’s Late Show debut and about a month and a half since Trevor Noah started at The Daily Show, and today The Hollywood Reporter offered a comprehensive breakdown of how they stack up in the ratings alongside all the other late night shows. While Colbert still “remains a distant second place” to Fallon’s huge Tonight Show ratings, he’s still drawing 50% more viewers than Letterman was last year, and CBS’s Leslie Moonves says he’s “extremely pleased” with the numbers so far. Things are more of a struggle for Comedy Central’s late night shows, however, with Trevor Noah, Larry Wilmore, and Chris Hardwick ranking sixth, ninth, and in Hardwick’s case, dead last on the list of 12 late night shows.
