Snoop Dogg has become the first major celeb to roll out an extensive, personally branded line of cannabis products. Dubbed Leafs by Snoop (not to be confused with the very popular nonexistent bread and meatloaf service, Loafs), the collection of marijuana goodies includes flowers, concentrates, and edibles, in more than half a dozen strains and flavors. The rapper and weed enthusiast launched Leafs at a private party Monday night in Denver, where LivWell dispensaries will be the exclusive, initial home for the product over the course of the next 30 days, according to reports. The Cannabist, which attended the event, points out that since Snoop is not a Colorado resident, he can’t technically own Leafs; however, he touts he still oversaw its formation.
“Since I’ve been at the forefront of this movement for over 20 years now, I’m a master of marijuana,” Snoop said, according to the site, noting he selected strains for their aroma, taste, effect, and bud structure. “Leafs By Snoop is truly the first mainstream cannabis brand in the world and proud to be a pioneer.” Leafs should reportedly be available wholesale to other shops starting the middle of next month.
