SNL alum Tracy Morgan just might be the latest cast addition to Lee Daniels’s in-the-works Richard Pryor biopic. According to The Wrap, Morgan is currently in talks to play Redd Foxx in the film, potentially joining Mike Epps as Pryor, Kate Hudson as Pryor’s wife Jennifer, Eddie Murphy and Taraji P. Henson as Pryor’s parents, and Oprah Winfrey as Pryor’s grandmother. The Wrap reports that Foxx will be depicted in the film “as a brash comedian who owned a local comedy club and encouraged Pryor to open up in his act and embrace his culture.” In addition to the Pryor film, Morgan will also appear in the upcoming comedy Fist Fight starring Ice Cube and Charlie Day.
