The first season of Transparent was a stunning piece of art, but it did not feature Jeffrey Tambor as Maura getting lessons in saying “yaaas, queen.” It appears season two will rectify that. Otherwise, as the trailer suggests, the season will be more of the same — funny in a sad way; sad in a funny way — which is a great thing. The season premieres on Amazon on Friday, December 11*. You should probably make plans for December 12, because you know you’re going to finish the season in a day, and will need something to distract you from how much you miss it already.
