Three martinis in, Cate Blanchett will tell you what it’s really like to be an actor. You know that expression “stuck between a rock and a hard place”? Well, according to Blanchett, that’s pretty outdated. In a new GQ profile, she says it’s more like being stuck between a wildfire and a feral cat. Tell us something we don’t know, Cate! Up in the northwest there are bushfires, she says. And when there are fires, “these feral cats go to the line that the bushfire has reached, where all of the native mammals are escaping the bushfire. And the cats have this feeding frenzy for two or three weeks. It’s terrible.”
