Though he’s been trying to keep it a secret, Channing Tatum has a brief but vital part in Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight. We won’t say what that role is, but Tatum, who has been choosing his roles really well, wanted the part badly. So badly, he told Jimmy Fallon, that he sent Tarantino an email a day for a month, threatening any other actor who wanted the role. He said (in jest, we think) that, akin to the movie, he would have been willing to lock himself in a room with the other actors vying for the role and whoever walked out alive got the part. “I’m so happy that [Tarantino] didn’t say, ‘Well Mike Tyson is up for this role.’” You can watch the interview below.
