Hamilton, Lin-Manuel Miranda's sold-out Broadway musical that you've only ever seen through your friends uploading Instagrams of their Playbills, is coming to Chicago. The Chicago Tribune reports that Hamilton will launch its national tour in Chicago on September 27, 2016 at the PrivateBank Theatre (formerly the Bank of America Theatre) for an extended run. The show's lead producer, Jeffrey Seller, promises the Chicago production will be "the same size, volume and quality as the one at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York." While Chicago will have a monopoly on Hamilton as far as the Midwest is concerned, the tour will also feature extended runs in Los Angeles and San Francisco, as well as stops in other U.S. cities.
