A Character From The Hateful Eight Is Related to an Inglourious Basterds Character. Hitler?

Tim Roth in The Hateful Eight

Actor Tim Roth recently revealed to the Huffington Post that his new character, Oswaldo Mobray, in The Hateful Eight is the great-great-grandfather of a character from another Tarantino film, Inglourious Basterds. So let’s just get all speculation out of the way: Is he Hitler’s great-great-grandfather? And if so, should we kill him? Because it’s like that old saying: If you’re not willing to kill baby Hitler, perhaps you’re willing to kill his ancestor to forever alter the course of history. Huff Post points out that Mobray’s nickname in the film is “the Little Man,” which is also the nickname of B.J. Novak’s character in Inglourious Basterds: Smithson “the Little Man” Utivich. Ah-ha! Okay, so maybe he’s not related to Hitler. There goes that new internet poll.
