Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay, who is very rich, has been slowly collecting pieces of Beatles memorabilia. His latest acquisition, Ringo Starr’s first Ludwig drum kit, was just purchased for $1.7 million. “Finally, after 45 years, the Beatles are together again,” Irsay told the Associated Press. He previously purchased guitars strummed by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and George Harrison. He also bought the original manuscript of Jack Kerouac’s On the Road in 2001 for $2.43 million, but Jack Kerouac was never in The Beatles.
