Thom Yorke Plays New (Radiohead?) Songs and They Are Very Good and Very Sad

By

At Pathway to Paris on Friday night, Radiohead frontman, DJ, and climate-change advocate Thom Yorke played two new songs on acoustic guitar. They're jangly, joyous pop songs about high school love — just kidding! They're placid, elegiac pieces, not too far removed from what appeared on King of Limbs. It remains to be seen if these songs will appear on an album, and, if so, in what album and in what form. Perhaps they might even transmogrify into EDM tracks. During "Silent Spring," he says, "This is Jonny's bit," suggesting that it's a Radiohead song. You can watch the performance below.
