Downton Abbey Gets Very Meta With Its Christmas Charity Short

Last year, Downton Abbey recruited George Clooney to participate in a charity holiday short for ITV’s annual “Text Santa” appeal. This year, the short is even more spoof-tacular, with appearances by Gordon Ramsay (who’s good mates with Mrs. Patmore, apparently) and noted British personalities Sir Bruce Forsyth, Gok Wan, Brenda Blethyn, Jim Broadbent, Michelle Keegan, and Warwick Davis joining in for the fun. The goal: Win over the Crawley family to become the Abbey’s official Santa Claus. (Just give it to Carson, don’t be daft, he really wants it!). The banter is cheeky, and the accents are merry.

The sixth and final season will premiere on PBS on January 3.
