Aaron Sorkin, who seems like someone who would happily explain the rules of poker in great detail without you even asking, is getting the chance to do just that with his latest film. According to the Wrap, the West Wing and Steve Jobs writer has just taken on writing and directing duties for Molly’s Game, a film based on Molly Bloom’s memoir of the same name. Walk with us: The book follows Bloom, a former skier, who went from waiting tables to running high-stakes poker games for the likes of Ben Affleck, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Tobey Maguire before the FBI tracked her down. Expect there to be speedy dialogue about obscure poker rules, Pussy Posse jokes, tons of cameos, and a few devastating lines about celebrity culture — you know, just to retain the moral high ground.
