Debra Messing has joined the cast of ABC's Dirty Dancing remake, which stars older ray of sunshine Abigail Breslin as Frances "Baby" Houseman. She'll play Marjorie Houseman of the Houseman clan in the role originally played by Kelly Bishop of the Gilmore clan, which means that Messing will now be one of the parties responsible for putting Baby in her literal and metaphorical corner. The adaptation by American Horror Story's Jessica Sharzer has yet to announce who will play Johnny, the dance instructor strong enough to lift Baby out of the corner and over his head so she can fly. Fly, Baby, fly!
